Having never heard of the

Having never heard of the Walla Walla wine region, I jumped at the chance to learn more about it and to taste the wine. I was not disappointed in the wine. The wine choices were all fantastic, so much so that my husband and I are thinking of planning a trip to visit the Walla Walla region. However, I found the course to be lacking substance and don’t feel like I learned a lot about how the wine was made or the vineyards or wineries. This course was more like a video tasting. I found a YouTube video about the Walla Walla region that was much more informative. I don’t regret taking the course because the wines were so good, but for the price of the course, I expected more.

As a rule, I love

As a rule, I love all things Wine Folly... so I'm bummed to say I didn't enjoy this as much as their other products, and I preferred the other intro course (with the booklets and other materials) more. I run a casual wine club, so I definitely like the courses we can do as a group better. Also the content of the videos wasn't as fun and informative. Plus they felt choppy because of the way they were strung together in the new course tool, which was also not a super smooth experience. On one hand, having the videos separated by each wine was nice, because I may only do 1 or 2 in a sitting. But having 3 separate videos for each wine was cumbersome - I'd rather it was altogether. Lastly, the wines / region ended up being kind of a dud. The package ones were pricey and unfortunately didn't impress, but it seemed the best option because it was almost impossible to find alternatives in Midwest wine shops or on Wine.com that weren't also $30-40/bottle. I guess if I was going to buy another class from Wine Folly, I'd be interested in a more approachable region (with price options around $15-25 per bottle) and longer videos. I'd be open to more booklets and tools included, as well as some additional wine tips in the content.
