Best Wine Educational Resource!
Love this book so much! Brilliant for the visual learner! If you want to learn about wine - buy this book! My only feedback is to create more ways for people to connect and taste online together. The wine club is too expensive but it would be nice if twice a month you had an online community tasting - choosing a certain wine to do together and discuss what we are learning.

I have many books on wine, most of which provide only superficial details about pairings. "The Essential Guide to Wines" is an easy-to-use handbook on different types of wines, their geographic origins, their labeling, and their suggested pairings. The graphics used are very effective in conveying concepts and relationships. I recommend the book to anyone who is interested in buying and consuming fine wines from around the world.

Although I have been reading wine books for over 20 years I found the Wine Folly to be the most informative I have come across. It put all the major wines in easy to understand sections. . All of the wines were fully described . The food pairing info was extensive. Lastly, I appreciated the correct pronunciation of the various wines.

Easy too understand for the novice, yet knowledgeable enough for the experienced. This is very educational upfront and an ongoing reference for future use. It appeals to all levels.
